“Selling Tampa” star Sharelle Rosado gives new real estate agents 3 tips to be successful

If you’re a reality TV junkie and love real estate, then you’ve probably seen – or at the very least heard of – hit Netflix show “Selling Tampa.” A spinoff of “Selling Sunset,” the series follows the real estate moves of the agents of Allure Realty, a luxury brokerage in Tampa, Florida that is owned by Sharelle Rosado.

What makes this show so exciting is that it brings attention to Black and brown women agents at the company that make up the entire brokerage. Nothing like this has ever been seen on TV before, so naturally, many were glued to their TVs when it premiered in December 2021.

During Super Bowl weekend 2022 in Los Angeles, California, REVOLT’s Sr. Managing Editor and Sports + Entertainment REALTOR Isha Thorpe spoke to Rosado about all things real estate. When asked if she had any advice she would give to new agents coming into the industry, the business owner said, “I definitely do. Make sure you market yourself because the market is oversaturated with real estate agents, you have to find a niche to standout in. So, definitely market yourself in a way that you stand out.”

The boss was also asked what the easiest and hardest things were about owning a real estate brokerage. “The easiest part is once you have a go-getter, you don’t have to worry about a lot things,” she admitted. “The hardest part is when you hire agents, new agents think they’ll have everything in place. The training for a new agent, it’s hard because you can’t do what you need to do because you’re busy training them.”

Rosado didn’t end the conversation without sharing the three most important traits every REALTOR needs to have in order to be successful in the industry. “Knowledge in real estate, knowledge in real estate, and knowledge in real estate,” she said with a smile. Well put.
